The Christian Soldier Society was founded on 12th May 1987 with Brother Achiman Ogwudile as the pioneer leader.
Initially, Christian Soldiers was involved in security and traffic control duties in the church until members at that time sought the face of God. God changed their vision from security/traffic control to hospital and prison.
Before then the society planned to secure musical instruments for worshipping God through singing and dancing. They suffered hiccups because they could not raise the money to embark on this laudable project. The society went into comatose as a result of this setback and remained adrift till 1994. They went for a rededication and got revived through the word of God.
Christian Soldiers have contributed immensely to the development of the church. We have represented the church at Archdeaconry level in the hospital and prison ministry of the Diocese of Lagos Mainland.
Every quarter we visit the inmates in Kirikiri Medium Prison:
|The First Quarter||March|
|The Second Quarter||June|
|The Third Quarter||September|
The last visit November tagged Christian Party. The Last Tuesday of each quarter is the time for visitation.
God in His infinite mercy has helped us. Souls have been won to Christ to the glory of God. The hospital visitation is done once every month. On some occasions, we have visited members of the church who were sick.
To bring good tiding to the afflicted; to bind the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captive and the opening of the prison to those who are bound, to proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD.
To visit the sick in the hospital and the prisoners in solitary confinement; to minister to their needs and win souls for Christ.
The harvest is plentiful, but the labourers are few; kindly join us in the Lord’s vineyard.
O'blessed of my father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you…. I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me. Matt 25:36-35
Join Christian Soldiers you are sure you will not miss heaven at last because that is the ultimate desire of every heavenly-minded Christian. We are soldiers of Christ with a compassionate heart.
